Known as the “Queen of Tennessee plantations,” the Belle Meade Plantation is a popular attraction for visitors and residents alike. With a carefully restored 1853 Greek Revival Mansion and authentic Civil War bullet holes, the Plantation covers an area of about 30 acres. Also located among the property is one of the oldest houses in Tennessee, a log cabin built in 1790. There is also a carriage house, visitor center, tea room and gift shop. Guides dressed in costume give tours of the fully furnished mansion and its beautiful surroundings.
